We breed for high quality with the hope of obtaining our next show prospect. However, in each litter there is a natural range from wonderful companion puppies up to (hopefully!) a couple of show-quality prospects. Some litters may produce two show candidates, while others may produce none. This is why we reserve the right to keep puppies from each litter until we can properly evaluate them. Every breeding is carefully planned to produce puppies that meet the Labrador Retriever breed standard. We use comprehensive health clearances and thoroughly evaluate structure, type, pedigree, and temperament before every breeding decision. The health and care of our dogs is our top priority—we often share vet checkups and results on our Facebook page because we want families to follow along on our journey! A puppy is a huge commitment, and we want families to feel completely confident that they're getting a well-balanced puppy from a program they trust. About Registration: We typically do not sell full registration. On occasion, we have made exceptions for fellow colleagues who actively show, participate in performance rallies, and earn titles like CGC (Canine Good Citizen). Our goal is to ensure every puppy contributes positively to the breed, whether as a beloved companion or in the show ring.
The Reality of Breeding - Our lifestyle isn't easy, though we find it incredibly rewarding. Producing a litter involves hard work, sleepless nights, emotional highs and lows, tears, and worry that go far beyond the puppy snuggles and puppy breath. We do this because we're passionate about preserving the classic English Labrador and because we believe in what we're creating.
Our Colors & Community - We produce the three recognized Labrador colors: Black, Yellow, and Chocolate—these are the only acceptable colors per the breed standard.
All of our dogs and puppies are cherished members of our family, and we maintain a lifelong dedication to every puppy that leaves our mountain farm. We encourage all families to attend our annual puppy reunion—a wonderful time of Fun, Fur, Food, and Fellowship with fellow families! 🐾
