Welcome to Fairfax Pines English Labradors 🌲🐾
Welcome to our little piece of heaven—45 peaceful acres nestled among the rolling hills and woodlands of north-central West Virginia. Here, winding trails meander through quiet forests, alongside sparkling creeks and hidden hollers, creating the perfect backdrop for the life we are so fortunate to share. Life at Fairfax Pines is wonderfully simple. Gentle horses graze the pastures, fluffy Shorthorn cattle dot the hillsides, our barn cats faithfully oversee the barns, and at the center of it all are the dogs who have captured our hearts—the English Labrador Retriever. For us, breeding Labradors isn't simply a hobby—it's our life's passion and purpose. We are dedicated preservation breeders committed to protecting everything that makes this remarkable breed so beloved: classic English type, exceptional health, sound structure, intelligent minds, and the kind, steady temperament that has made the Labrador America's favorite family companion for generations.
Our Labradors are never simply kennel dogs. They are our constant companions. They accompany us while repairing fences, checking cattle, walking woodland trails, working in the gardens, or simply relaxing by the pond at sunset. Whether curled up beside us on the porch or enthusiastically "helping" with farm chores, they are woven into every part of our daily lives. Those everyday moments are what shape the puppies we raise—confident, curious, affectionate companions who are prepared to become cherished members of their own families.
A Little About Us
Animals have always been at the heart of our lives. Before dedicating myself full-time to Fairfax Pines, I spent many years working for West Virginia University and the Department of Agriculture before following my passion into the Labrador Retriever Club, where I now serve as Newsletter Editor and assist with communications and marketing for the national club. Grant proudly served our country for more than 24 years in the United States Army while also earning his Master's Degree in Agriculture. His military career instilled a deep appreciation for stewardship, integrity, and the simple joy of working alongside animals and the land. Together, we've built Fairfax Pines around those same values—quality over quantity, honesty, lifelong relationships, and doing things the right way.
Our PuppiesEach litter is thoughtfully planned months—even years—in advance with one goal in mind: producing healthy, beautiful English Labradors with exceptional temperaments.
Every puppy receives:
Reservations & PricingOur puppies are $4,000, with a $500 reservation deposit applied toward the purchase price.
Because we breed only a limited number of carefully planned litters each year, most families join our waiting list well in advance. While our average wait is typically 6–12 months, timing varies depending on Mother Nature and your preferences.
Some colors and genders have longer waits:
As always, patience is rewarded with the right puppy.
Join the JourneyOne of the greatest joys of Fairfax Pines is sharing the adventure with our puppy families.
From birth through Gotcha Day—and long after—we invite you to follow along through photos, videos, puppy updates, and a wonderful community of Fairfax Pines families.
