Available Dogs & Older Puppies

In any responsible breeding program, there are numerous reasons why a particular dog is not to be an on-going part of the breeding program.  Young or middle-aged dogs are occasionally available if I feel it is in the best interest of the particular dog to be placed in a carefully-screened pet home.   Many people realize the advantages of adopting a well-socialized, house-trained dog rather than an 8-week-old puppy, and it can be a perfect situation benefiting both the particular dog and the adoptive family.  No more competing for attention, but exclusive attention from a loving family!  My heart may break when they leave, but I'm eventually comforted by the fact that  he or she will be the center of life for some wonderful family.  And everyone who knows Labs knows that, no matter how old, they have an unbelievable desire and ability to bond with anyone who shows them love and affection ... and feeds them!

I require that the prospective family come and visit and allow plenty of time for the family and the dog in question to get to know each other in various situations.  We all must agree that it is a "match made in heaven".  The reason(s) for placing the dog will be fully and honestly disclosed and a written guarantee will be issued.  A week or two should be devoted to the adjustment period but, if for any reason, it appears not to be working out, I will immediately take the dog back and refund any money paid.  Prospective adoptive families should be prepared to give a comprehensive dissertation regarding their desire for adopting an adult dog, their expectations, their family environment, lifestyle, facilities, etc.

Binks

Binks (16 months old) is a big beautiful chocolate girl, she has had a successful show stint and was a star in the making! As she was/is competitive structurally she wont work with our program moving forward - if every thing is not 100% perfect we don't move forward with breeding.  Our loss is your gain, as she is a big, beautiful and healthy girl! She is crate trained, loves car rides (but wants to sit in your lap) She is a very mellow girl and is the middle of the road with temperament and activity level.  If you are looking for a camping partner this summer and a loving family companion she is your girl.  We are asking $3500 or $3000 if you are an existing Fairfax Pines Family <3 - She will have a spay contract.

Hazel & Gert

Chocolate Females - These sisters will be retiring in 2023 (DOB 04/23//2019).

Both of these girls are lovely in the house, crate trained and listen extremely well. We owned 4 sisters and I can not say enough good things about them... they love each other and often play a little rough .. but hey they are sisters.. lol Their pastimes include looking for Penelope (the farm cat) around the farm, chasing each other, eating pears and they love watermelon! They had limited time around children as during covid they had less exposure, however their sisters adore children! These girls are on the more laid back side, they would love a hike but they aren't going to embark on your journey on the Appalachian trail lol  - we would love to place them together  - their adoption fee is $2000 each. Have health clearances and will be ready for their own couch and embark on new exciting adventures!

Cleo - Retiring 2023

Chocolate Female - Cleo (DOB - May 2019)
Cleo isn't our largest girl, but she is athletic and sweet. Cleo rarely barks, and loves to play! Cleo is crate trained and gets along great with other dogs, she is one of the submissive girls in our pack.  She has never offered to get on the furniture and hasn't had any destructive tendencies.  Cleo has more energy than Hazel and Gert but she does have an off switch and paces her self with her owner.  Her dark chocolate coat and beautiful eyes draws everyone into her beauty. Cleo's adoption fee is $2000 will be up to date on vaccinations and is health tested and will be ready for her new family awaiting their next beautiful best friend.

Ana (Reserved) - Retiring in 2023 Mary Brinson

Ana is a black beauty (DOB - June 2020)

Ana is lively and kind, loves hikes and car rides.. kids and cats... (most of the time... lol) professionally trained and an absolute joy.  Ana will make a wonderful addition to any active family. Ana's placement fee is $3000

Clara - Retiring in 2023

Clara (DOB - June 2020) - another gorgeous black beauty that we raised from a puppy, imported from a breeder and her genetic make up only works with our boy Dune... which Dune loves! <3 As we are streamlining our program, Clara will be retiring in 2023.  Clara and I have a bond... she is literally the sweetest girl, however she can be dominant. I would prefer her to go to a home that either has goofy boy dogs... but a home with another dominant female may not work.  Clara can be with me outside doing gardening or staining the deck and she just basks in the sun and never offers to wander... she is a precious girl that deserves her own sofa, even if she just sleeps at your feet. Clara's placement fee is $3000
